Dems condemn Nader

It's official: Ralph Nader will be making his fourth straight run for the presidency this year. Saying "we have to take this opportunity to have a much broader debate on the issues that relate to the American people," Nader made the announcement of his latest run on Sunday's edition of "Meet the Press."

The Democratic candidates have, naturally, already been asked about the entry into the race of the man some blame for former Vice President Al Gore's loss to George W. Bush in 2000, and their responses were not positive.

Hillary Clinton called Nader's candidacy "really unfortunate" and said, "It's not good for anybody, especially our country," according to the New York Times. Similarly, Barack Obama said, "Ralph Nader deserves enormous credit for the work he did as a consumer advocate... But his function as a perennial candidate is not putting food on the table of workers."
