Polls close in Indiana, no call yet

Voting has ended in Indiana's primary, but the networks aren't yet ready to declare a winner there.

May. 06, 2008 | The last open polls in Indiana closed just now, at 7 p.m. EDT. No calls from the networks yet, though -- CNN and MSNBC are both characterizing the race in the state as "too early to call."

North Carolina's polls close at 7:30 p.m. EDT.

Update: A couple readers have asked whether the parts of Indiana that are in the Central time zone are still voting -- they're not. The official poll closing time statewide is 6 p.m., so while much of the state closed at 6 p.m. EDT, the parts in the Central time zone closed at 7 p.m. EDT. (A couple precincts did stay open due to voting glitches.)
