A little perspective on running mates

Sarah Palin isn't the only one who can prove embarrassing.

One of the things I've always appreciated about "The Daily Show" is that it doesn't hesitate to poke fun at both sides of the political divide, even though it's clearly left-leaning, and so is its audience. Personally, I think that makes for a much funnier show. (Contrast it with, for example, Fox News' failed imitation, "The 1/2 Hour News Hour," or with the forthcoming movie "An American Carol," which, judging from the trailers I've seen so far, looks absolutely horrendous.)

In that spirit, I really liked the bit host Jon Stewart did Wednesday night lampooning both Joe Biden and Sarah Palin. While we all have a lot of fun at Palin's expense, Biden gets very little coverage here and in the media at large, and it's worth keeping in mind that he's not perfect either, if only so we can all keep some perspective about the race. Video of the segment is below.
