Quote of the day: Palin on Obama

Governor accuses Senator of "palling around with terrorists."

"This is not a man who sees America as you see it and how I see America. We see America as the greatest force for good in this world....Our opponent though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect that he’s palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

-- Sarah Palin criticizing Barack Obama at a Colorado airport hangar on Saturday, according to the New York Times. With little more than a month to go until election day, the McCain campaign is stepping up the attacks, according to the Washington Post. Palin was referring to a New York Times article from Friday, which examined Obama's connection to Bill Ayers, a founding member of the 1960's group the Weathermen.

Responding to the Palin terrorist line in a statement, Obama spokesperson Hari Sevugan said: "What’s clear is that John McCain and Sarah Palin would rather spend their time tearing down Barack Obama than laying out a plan to build up our economy."
