Cramer: Stewart was "naive and misleading"

Now that he's not face-to-face with the "Daily Show" host, Jim Cramer's singing the same old song.

Clearly, Jim Cramer is not a very fast learner. Not only is he back to his old tricks, he's now restarted the same old cycle of attacks that brought about his public beat-down at the hands of Jon Stewart.

Following in the footsteps of his boss, NBC President Jeff Zucker, who defended CNBC and attacked Stewart on Wednesday, Cramer went after the "Daily Show" host during an appearance on the "Today" show this morning.

In his interview with Stewart, Cramer conceded just about every point Stewart made. Now, he says his erstwhile opponent didn't have a solid argument.

"I think it was a naïve and misleading thing to attack the media. We weren’t behind this. CNBC, in particular, has been out front on this," Cramer said. "I think there are people who bear so much more responsibility that it's just wrongheaded. The regulators, the SEC, the lenders, the investment banks, I mean, listen to AIG -- you gonna compare the media to AIG? ... The media, it's just a naïve focus."
