The world's dumbest hooker?
A prostitute is arrested repeatedly, most recently for soliciting a uniformed police officer.

Nov. 3, 2000 | A woman working on Pacific Highway South in Washington is probably the world's most naive prostitute.

This 46-year-old hooker from Seattle not only attracts plenty of attention with her short dress and high heels, she also seems to be incredibly dimwitted when it comes to the cops.

This gal has been arrested 43 times, including several times on charges of soliciting sex. Local authorities have even labeled her the "world's most gullible hooker." Her ineptness was demonstrated once more last week, when she willingly climbed into the back seat of a marked patrol car driven by a uniformed deputy and was arrested yet again.

According to sheriff's spokesman John Urquhart, the easiest arrest of deputy Steve Johnson's career occurred recently as he was patrolling Pacific Highway South in Kent, an area known for prostitution. He spotted the Seattle woman dressed in traditional hooker clothing, and pulled over to speak with her.

"She was obviously working," Urquhart told the Seattle Times. "He could tell that just by looking at her."

The woman told the uniformed officer she was a prostitute, and gloated that she had pulled in $300 the previous night. She explained to Johnson that she was building a clientele in the area, and gave out her phone number for "repeat business." The deputy asked for a price, and she told him $40. He suggested the back seat of his marked patrol car, and she responded that she'd had a lifelong fantasy about uniformed policemen. She hopped into the back seat, and Johnson's arrest consisted of merely shutting the car door.

During processing at the Regional Justice Center in Kent, officials discovered that the woman was clearly a professional, albeit not a very good one. He criminal record listed 43 arrests for prostitution, drug possession, car theft and burglary, dating from 1982. She posted bail, as she undoubtedly has done many times previously, and was released.

The King County sheriff's department is proud of the swift actions taken by deputy Johnson. "The deputy has obviously got the gift of gab," boasted Urquhart.
