The actress will play a patient who gets romantically involved with the Dr. Charlie Goodson

Lindsay Lohan, the tabloid staple who has found an ally in the similarly out-of-control Charlie Sheen, is set to guest star in an upcoming episode of Sheen's show, "Anger Management." Her role is an eerie nod to real life: in it, she'll play herself, introduced to audiences as a therapy patient. FX announced today via press release that in the episode, Lohan "develops a romantic relationship with Sheen’s character," Dr. Charlie Goodson.

Sheen and Lohan, whom The New York Times describe as kindred spirits, have forged a close relationship over the years. Recently, Sheen lent the actress $100,000 to help her pay back taxes, and they're co-stars in the upcoming "Scary Movie 5" together, where they get pretty cozy:

Dimension Films

The prosecution has filed a 19-page motion for probation modification, and Brown says his life is hell

The Chris Brown saga continues, as the rapper, on probation for a 2009 felony charge in which he beat singer and on-again-off again girlfriend Rihanna, is due in court to review his progress today. And, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, his chance of passing the hearing doesn't look good.

Prosecutors yesterday filed a motion for probation modification, a 19-page report that requests "the Court find [Brown] in violation of the terms of his probation" and to "modify the terms of his probation accordingly," asking that Brown re-do his probation term in Los Angeles County. The report analyzes "at best sloppy documentation and at worst fraudulent reporting" from the Richmond, Va. police department under whose supervision Brown supposedly completed 1,440 hours of community service. Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. Jackie Lacey told the L.A. Times that after reviewing the records, there is no "credible, competent or verifiable” evidence to support the claim that he has satisfied the community service requirement.

FX executives have decided to greenlight 100 episodes of "Anger Management." Are they as crazy as their star?

On Thursday night, the FX sitcom "Anger Management" returns for its second and, in a sense, final season: After an initial run of 10 episodes, the next 90 (yes, 90) will run more or less uninterrupted over the course of the next two years. (They'll likely take a week off for the start of the NCAA basketball tournament in March.)

The deal allows FX to purchase a relatively inexpensive property, guarantees production company Debmar-Mercury syndication dollars starting in 2014, and hands star Charlie Sheen some walking-around money. The mercurial actor has a reported approximate 40 percent stake in the show, including the syndication profits.

Chuck Saftler, executive vice-president of FX and the man responsible for greenlighting episodes 11 through 100, was aware that the program -- with its laugh track and three-camera setup — has little in common with the network's edgier fare, like the critically acclaimed "Louie" and "Justified." "Prior to 10 p.m.," said Saftler, "we have 'Two and a Half Men,' "How I Met Your Mother,' and the best movie portfolio on the air. When you look at how 'Anger Management' plays with 'Two and a Half Men,' or movies like 'Iron man' or 'Taken' or 'Avatar,' it’s a very traditional fit."

I don't have time for my husband's emotional outbursts; I wish he'd just get a grip

Dear Cary,

Wanted to get your advice. I'm stuck.

A few things on me, should they prove to be helpful: Female in my late 30s. Highly educated, C-level executive in male-dominated field. Financially responsible and pretty much extremely responsible otherwise. I take pride in my ability to get shit done, as it has served me well in life. In good health. Pretty much checked-the-box on most things middle-class folks would consider important in life, and in the "right" order.

I married young when I did not know what I wanted in a partner. I am an alpha female. I am attracted to alpha men. The confidence, really. I am deeply and utterly attracted to extremely confident men. Right now, I imagine the ones I have been privileged enough to have known and have admired. As I type this, the adrenaline flows.

As we've grown into adulthood, my husband has become a super-emotional type. And he is angry often and in general seeks external validation for his self-esteem. I eat my emotions. I specifically see anger as a sign of weakness, and in general I work extremely hard at everything I do in life without much thought. That is what I am comfortable with, and that is how I am able to survive in this world. I own my life and take full responsibility for the confident, hardworking, minimalist nature of my communication style.
