Beyoncé reportedly pregnant with second baby

Rumors that Beyoncé is pregnant are becoming more reputable as E! reports that "multiple sources exclusively confirm" a second child is on its way for the singer and her husband, Jay-Z.

The couple gave birth to their first child, daughter Blue Ivy Carter, in January of 2012. The singer recently told ABC News that she "would like more children," and rumors of her pregnancy hit the Internet when bloggers identified a small bulge around her waist on Monday. On Tuesday, the singer raised suspicions further by canceling a concert in Belgium due to "heat and exhaustion."

Of course, Jay-Z's rep had no comment and Beyoncé's rep could not be reached for comment by E!, so the speculation on whether or not a baby bump will soon protrude from Beyoncé's belly will continue until the appearance of said baby bump makes the speculation pointless.

Perhaps Kate Middleton can hold us over until then.

Baby born with HIV functionally cured

In a potentially groundbreaking case, a baby girl born in Mississippi with the HIV virus was, according to scientists, "functionally cured." The infant was treated aggressively with antiretroviral drugs starting around 30 hours after birth -- an unusual procedure. The method appears to have eradicated the virus from the baby's system.

The child's story is the first account of an infant achieving a so-called functional cure, a rare event in which a person achieves remission without the need for drugs and standard blood tests show no signs that the virus is making copies of itself.

More testing needs to be done to see if the treatment would have the same effect on other children, but the results could change the way high-risk babies are treated and possibly lead to a cure for children with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.

The only other well-documented case of a cure in the world involved a middle-aged man with leukemia who received a bone-marrow transplant from a donor genetically resistant to HIV infection. The so-called Berlin patient, Timothy Brown, went through a costly and elaborate treatment (which also involved the destruction of his immune system). The Mississippi baby, by contrast, was treated with a cocktail of widely available drugs already used to treat HIV infection in infants.

Kate Middleton’s baby will arrive in July

LONDON (AP) -- The former Kate Middleton is due to give birth to her first baby in July, and her health is improving after a bout of severe morning sickness, palace officials said Monday.

The child of Kate and Prince William will be third in line to the British throne.

The 31-year-old Duchess of Cambridge, as she is formally known, spent several days in the hospital last month being treated for acute morning sickness.

She has since resumed public appearances, and looked healthy at the unveiling of an official portrait last week.

The palace said in a statement that "the duchess's condition continues to improve."

It said the two "are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July."

Weird news: Bus driver kicked woman and baby off bus for odor

SEATTLE — Metro Transit in Seattle has apologized but says it won't discipline the driver who asked a woman with a baby to get off a bus because of a stinky diaper.

Metro told KOMO the driver did not violate policy when she acted for the comfort of other passengers.

An apology is not enough for the mother, Nichole Hakimian (hah-KIM'-ee-an), who threatens to sue.

She was taking her 1-year-old son to a clinic Tuesday when his diarrhea became an odor issue. She says the driver insisted she exit.

Hakimian says she found a place to change the baby and caught another bus to the clinic, where her son was diagnosed with a stomach bug.

Metro says the driver is a nine-year employee with an excellent record.
