Five months after her departure, Sarah Palin is returning to Fox News as a paid contributor.

The former Alaska governor first joined Fox in 2010 and soon become the network's highest-paid contributor, earning nearly $1 million a year. Fox even built Palin a private studio in her Wasilla home and network head Roger Ailes told the AP that "I hired Sarah Palin because she was hot and got ratings." But after a series of sour negotiations, Palin "parted ways" with Fox in 2013, after the network seemingly “cancelled all my scheduled interviews tonight” according to a post Palin wrote on Facebook.

Right-wing media push new Benghazi myths

Right-wing media are using a congressional hearing to push new myths about the Obama administration's response to the September 11, 2012 attacks on a U.S. diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya. In fact, these myths are discredited by previous congressional reports and testimony, which show that the politicized nature of the hearings come from right-wing media and Congressional Republicans, that the military could not have rescued personnel from the second attack, that the administration was in constant communication at all levels during the attacks, and that the intelligence community believed there was a link to an anti-Islam video at the time of the attacks.

Fox & Friends' Steve Doocy wondered on Wednesday whether a picture on Hillary Clinton's new website actually features a "glamorous new face" that is perhaps the result of a face-lift.

"Is this the face of presidential ambition?" Doocy asked, as Fox showed the website photo next to one from Clinton's testimony before Congress on Benghazi. "Days after retiring as Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, somebody has launched a website for her, showing off this glamorous new face. Face-lift, perhaps? Well, that’s fueling rumors about a run for president in 2016, but her aides say it’s simply a way for fans and the media to reach her."

Cuomo in, Carville and Matalin out at CNN

Chris Cuomo, formerly of "Good Morning America," is headed to CNN to hopefully revamp the network's morning slate, reports the New York Times. Cuomo — the brother of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo — is reportedly joining the network's morning show, which is hosted by another former network stalwart, Soledad O'Brien. (O'Brien may be on her way out -- the network is "discussing various options with" the anchor.) So begins the era of former NBC honcho Jeff Zucker leading the third-place cable news network, and the inventor of the concept in the first place.
