A new blog pairs "Mean Girls" quotes with scenes from the AMC show

The Internet loves a good Tumblr mashup. Taylor Pearce has delivered us another one, pairing quotes from the Tina Fey movie "Mean Girls" with a show that has almost nothing similar, "Mad Men."

Pearce explains on the Burn Book of the Tumblr, Mean Mad Men:

After seeing Mean Girls, Girl World was forever changed: consoling someone when they were sick was replaced with “boo you whore,” fabulous was switched with “fetch,” and girls grabbed their boobs when there was a “30% chance it’s already raining.”

Then AMC decided to grace the earth with Mad Men and suddenly I found myself wondering WWJD- “What would Joan do?,” questioning if it’s ever too early to drink if you’re on Roger time, and daydreaming about whether I would have caught Don’s wandering eye.

In the end, if you’ve ever quoted Mean Girls, or cried during Mad Men*, you’re in the right place.

Credit for all images to Taylor Pearce's Tumblr, Mean Mad Men.

[slide_show id=13259334]

Taylor Swift, a girl who doesn't "wanna end up being awful and intolerable," or alone "because I thought I was too good to hang out with anybody," sounded just that in Vanity Fair yesterday when she insulted American national treasures Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, implying that they would go to hell for mocking her at the Golden Globes.

Swift referenced a Madeleine Albright quote by way of Katie Couric: ‘There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women," referring, in part, to Fey and Poehler, who joked that the serial dater and confessional singer should "stay away from Michael J. Fox’s son.”

Poehler apologized to Swift for the misunderstanding yesterday, saying, "Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff."

Tina Fey is working on developing the comedy into a play

The beloved 2004 comedy "Mean Girls," which featured "SNL" talent like Tina Fey, Tim Meadows, Amy Poehler and Ana Gasteyer, might be coming to the stage as a musical. At this weekend's SAG award ceremony, where she won for best actress in a comedy series, the comedian told E! that "I'm trying to develop it, actually, with my husband, who does all the music for '30 Rock'. And I think Paramount's onboard, yeah."

Fey, who wrote the screenplay for the film, took a jab at "American Idol" mean girl Mariah Carey , saying that based on her recent spat with Nicki Minaj she "can play Amy Poehler's part in the musical."

"American Idol" returns for its 12th season, reigniting one of television's most ridiculous feuds

It was just a little over 10 minutes into the new season of "American Idol,"its 12th, when new judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj started bickering about “Mean Girls.” “I want to lose three pounds,” Mariah said, sitting at the judges table getting her hair and make up retouched. “I know how you can,” Nicki sassed back. “It’s a quote from 'Mean Girls.' If you knew 'Mean Girls' you would know,” Mariah countered. “I do know ‘Mean Girls,’” Nicki replied “Okay, who says ‘I want to lose three pounds?’ Which character?” Mariah asked. Incapable of leaving the bait untouched, Nicki tried, “Not Lindsay. The other one, with the blonde hair.” “What’s her name?” Mariah insisted. “You know something, Mariah …" Nicki began. Australian country star Keith Urban, the other new judge, pinched the bridge of his nose.
