The Stroke of Midnight "Cinderella" Contest

Send us a scene from "Cinderella" up to 1,000 words written in the style of Anne Rice. The winner will receive a trip to New Orleans for two and an overnight stay in one of the Rice properties!

CONTEST RULES

1. Limit one entry per person.

2. Entries must be received at Salon by October 21, 1996, Salon is not responsible for entries sent after this deadline.

3. All entries become the property of Salon and entrants grant permission to Salon to publish their work in our magazine. Proper credit will be given to entrants should their work be published.

4. Entrants warrant that the work they submit is their own.

5. First place winner will receive a trip for two to New Orleans, including one overnight stay in one of the Rice properties. Second place winner will receive one autographed hardcover and one audio copy of "Servant of the Bones" plus Salon merchandise.

6. Employees and their families of Salon and Knopf are prohibited from entering.

7. The judges' decisions are final.
