Beginning
July 29, Anne Rice -- literary mistress of the dark, sensual and ineffable --
will appear each week in Salon during her nationwide tour for "Servant of the
Bones," her new novel. Every Monday Rice will file an online diary entry, keeping
readers up to date on her tour as her "Servant of the Bones" bus glides from
state to state. Salon readers will be able to "Submit to Anne" -- e-mail
questions directly to her -- and to talk with other readers about Rice and her
work.
Readers can also enter a writing contest that will challenge them to
retell "Cinderella" in Anne Rice style. The winner will be treated to round-trip
airfare for two to New Orleans and an overnight stay in one of the Rice
properties.
