Jerome Rothenberg is the author of over fifty books of poetry including Poems for the Game of Silence, Poland/1931, A Seneca Journal, Vienna Blood, and most recently The Lorca Variations (all from New Directions). He has worked with poetry performance since the 1950s and is the recipient of numerous awards including the PEN Oakland Josephine Miles Literary Award.
