Vanity Fair publishes an interview with Dick Cheney later this week, but some of the choicest nuggets -- by which we don't mean the one about Cheney cutting his steak into bite-sized pieces and then salting each one -- are leaking out already.
Among them:
Cheney on whether, in his "darkest night," he wonders if the administration has taken the right course: "No."
Cheney on Iraq: "In the end, you can argue about the quality of the intelligence and so forth, but ... I look at that whole spectrum of possibilities and options, and I think we did the right thing.
Cheney on whether people are born gay: "Nice try. I'm not going to get into that."
Cheney on his image: "This caricature you talk about might be avoided, if I spent more time as a public figure trying to improve my image, but that's not why I'm here."
