After requesting some time off for personal reasons, Fox News weekend host Gregg Jarrett was arrested at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Wednesday for drunkenly refusing to follow police officers' orders and resisting arrest.

Jarrett has since been released from jail, after posting a $300 bond.

According to reports, law authorities were called to a restaurant/bar at the airport on Wednesday afternoon. When they arrived, they claim, they found Jarrett to be seemingly intoxicated, belligerent and uncooperative.

More from the Minneapolis Star Tribune:

Airport police were finishing up their reports on Wednesday, and further information on the incident will be released once those reports are complete, Hogan said.

Jarrett, 59, recently covered the murder trial of George Zimmerman and the crash of Asiana Flight 214 at the San Francisco Airport.

UPDATE: A Fox News spokesperson has released the following statement about Jarrett:

We were made aware late last night that Gregg Jarrett was arrested in Minneapolis yesterday and charged with a misdemeanor. He is dealing with serious personal issues at this time. A date at which Gregg might return to air has yet to be determined.
