The loudest pro-gun voices remain silent on the latest school shooting, which took place today at Taft Union High School in Taft, Calif., not far from Bakersfield.

The NRA has been quiet, perhaps because the sheriff department in Taft confirmed that an armed deputy patrols the school "before, during and after" classes.

The latest update is that one student and one teacher were injured in the shooting; a gunman, reportedly a student, is said to be in custody. Local officials plan a 3 p.m. press briefing.

Here are the latest tweets from the most vocal pro-gun advocates, as of 2:45 p.m. Eastern.
