Must-see morning clip: "Morning Joe" isn't a news program, it's a family

Samantha Bee performs a one-woman show about MSNBC's morning talk show

Perhaps tired by the antics of CNN and Fox News, "The Daily Show" turned its attention on Wednesday night to MSNBC, home of the morning news program that offers an "inside look at Washington's power players," "Morning Joe." Contrary to popular belief, however, "Morning Joe" isn't a news show -- it's a family.

After the warm reception of her last piece of performance art, correspondent Samantha Bee staged a one-woman show about the "loveless marriage" between its hosts, "Mother Mika" (Brzezinski), "Daddy Joe" (Scarborough) and their many "boy pundits."

The cultish family also has rich and powerful friends, like the controversial New Jersey governor, "Uncle" Chris Christie, whose feelings Mika and Joe work very hard to protect at all times. “My 'Morning Joe' family may fight and bicker and starfuck like nobody’s business,” said Bee, "but when the chips are down for one of our powerful friends, we pull together to attack anyone who questions them. Because that's what morning news shows do."
