Appearing on Sean Hannity's Fox News show on Wednesday night, former vice-presidential candidate and half-term governor Sarah Palin claimed that President Obama would not fire Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki for the ongoing scandals in the department because of laziness.

"When you hold someone accountable, it takes energy and resource [sic], and Barack Obama is lazy," Palin said. "In fact, he warned us that he was lazy and he attributed that to having been brought up on Hawaii — his words, not mine."

"Another thing," she continued, "is that Barack Obama still doesn't see what the main problem is, the main problem is government. It's not the solution, like Ronald Reagan said, it is the problem. He doesn't recognize that, so he will continue to do what he's doing; status quo is fine with him."

Palin then turned to complaining about the media: "He's not called out as often as he should be because the media, as formerly the referee in this game of politics, isn't doing its job in holding him accountable."
