The Daily Dot If Game of Thrones belongs in any decade beside the current one, it’s clearly the ‘80s. Those glorious years not only gave us hair metal and bedazzled jean jackets, but also the rich fantasy worlds of Dungeons and Dragons, The Dark Crystal, and The Never Ending Story.

Combining the perfectly fuzzy ‘90s take on the GoT opening credits, created by YouTube genius hunterlsanders, and the synth rock theme remix of Steve Duzz, results in some gnarly '80s goodness. If this version of Game of Thrones aired back in the '80s, we totally would have recorded each episode on VHS for repeated viewing.
