Speaking on an Iowa talk radio show Monday, former Arkansas governor and Republican Party presidential candidate Mike Huckabee joined the growing chorus of far-right activists and politicians calling for President Obama's impeachment — but lamented that the likelihood of it happening was slim so long as Democrats controlled the U.S. Senate.

After saying Obama "absolutely" deserved to be impeached, Huckabee asserted there was "no doubt that [Obama] has done plenty of things" that would qualify as impeachable offenses (which, recall, are: treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors).

Despite his confidence in Obama's impeachability, however, Huckabee cautioned his fellow conservatives to remember "we don't have the Senate" and therefore an impeachment charge from the House would "never even get to the floor" for a vote because of Sen. Harry Reid, the dastardly leader of Democrats in the Senate.

"But it's an important argument to make," Huckabee continued, "that there are a number of things this president has done" that deserve having the twice-elected president forcefully removed from office. Such as his handling of the refugee crisis on the U.S. southern border, which has gotten "completely out of control," as well as his habit of "acting like God."
