The right has been revising history left and right (ha-ha) -- but some of their imprints on society have been no laughing matter: We've seen the revision of textbooks and the re-upping of the Confederate Flag "heritage" debate. One revision, as Larry Wilmore explained on the "Nightly Show" Thursday, threatens to seriously alter the course of the 2016 election.
That's the roll-back of the Voting Rights Act, an effort Wilmore explained feels more like a "revival of history" than a "revision" of it.
New rules reduce early voting from 17 days to 10, eliminate same-day registration, put an end to a program to pre-register high school students and ban out-of-precinct voting.
"They're making voting harder than Bill Cosby at a sleep clinic," Wilmore fired back, stirring up some big "oooooh's" from the in-studio audience.
