Canadian vlogger and self-described comedian Nicole Arbour recently posted a viral YouTube video “Dear Fat People” where she rants about how terrible fat people are while at the same time claiming fat shaming isn’t real.

The video sparked outrage in the YouTube community — and was promptly removed from the Google-owned service, though reinstated days later.

YouTube personalities immediately began to craft video responses to the hate-filled rant and post them to their channels. Grace Helbig, star of The Grace Helbig Show on E! said Arbour's video was triggering and she was unable to sleep the night after watching it. Whitney Way Thore, star of TLC’s “My Big Fat Fabulous Life,” also posted a video saying, “You cannot tell a person’s health, physical or otherwise, from looking at them.” While rising YouTube stars Ashley Mardell and Grace Hiltner promised to be there to support anyone hurt by the video.
