After the long-awaited first 2016 Democratic debate it was time for the nation's comedians to weigh in on hilarity on the left. It was no surprise @Midnight's host Chris Hardwick, who started the Nerdist media empire, keyed in on the fluffy white-bearded dude in the Nevada debate audience. Ok, to be fair, he was hard to miss, but if there's one thing nerds know best, it's old mystical-looking dudes.
"I really hope they're going to talk about wand reform," Hardwick said imitating the enchanting fellow. "I'm tellin' ya, they're letting too many Orcs into this country. Just takin' work away from hard working wizards." Hardwick said he loved that the guy was wearing some kind of moon shirt and that "his beard just sort of cascades. Like you can't even tell, there's some sort of magical spell that's put this man into a deep slumber," he joked pointing to the guy behind the wizard.
Fellow comedian Riki Lindhome said it was like he had the trailer of Twilight being projected on his shirt.
