We've already explained why Sean Penn's Rolling Stone article is an embarrassment, but Monday's "Nightly Show" ripped it to shreds in the priceless way that only Larry Wilmore can.

"I feel naked without pen and paper. So I only ask questions one couldn't forget the answers to," Wilmore quotes from the piece. "Jesus Christ! You went to write an article and you forgot the actual instruments of writing?" Wilmore joked. "Your last name is Penn!"

Ok. So what is a story that you actually remember without pen and paper, Sean Penn? "I throw my satchel into the open back of one of the SUVs and lumber over to the tree line to take a piss. Dick in hand, I do consider it among my body parts vulnerable to the knives of irrational narco types, and take a fond last look, before tucking it back into my pants," Wilmore continues to read.

"This is actually classic journalism," he says before recalling Walter Cronkite's award-winning reporting comparing the Vietnam War to his scrotum.

If that isn't bad enough even Fox and Friends criticized Penn for sending his story to El Chapo before it was published by Rolling Stone. "Dear God! You know it's bad when Fox and Friends is questioning your journalistic credibility!" Wilmore exclaimed.
