"Late Show" host Stephen Colbert updated his popular "Hungry for Power Games" segment to bid farewell to tribute Marco Rubio, who finally suspended his campaign after a ego-smashing defeat in his home state Tuesday.

"Yes, Florida senator and boy whose birthday party your parents made you attend, Marco Rubio, has joined the ranks of the fallen," Colbert said. "And tribute Marco leaves us after a string of triumphant third place victories."

"This is a major turning point in our games," he continued. "For Rubio was the last tribute fighting on behalf of the establishment of Capitol City."

Colbert ran a series of clips from the 48-hour stretch in which Rubio made the ill-advised decision to try to beat Trump at his own game by roasting his opponent for everything from his hair down to his hands, about which Rubio famously joked, "You know what they say about guys with small hands ..."

"They win Florida?" Colbert answered.
