The Daily Caller loses it over Obama family mansion that's (gasp!) 1,096 feet from a mosque

"It's one of the largest mosques in the Western Hemisphere," writes Daily Caller education editor Eric Owens

After it was announced that President Obama would be moving into a mansion in the Kalorama neighborhood of Washington, D.C., following his two-term tenure, conservative publication The Daily Caller is making a stink about the house's proximity to a mosque.

"The mammoth, multi-million-dollar mansion ... is located 1,096 feet from the Islamic Center of Washington — one of the largest mosques in the Western Hemisphere," writes Daily Caller education editor Eric Owens.

"In addition to the Islamic Center of Washington," Owens notes, "the embassy of Oman and the former embassy of Iran are very close to Obama’s new mansion."

Take this dire warning with a grain of salt, though. As WaPo's Philip Bump points out, the Daily Caller's headquarters are located within 1,000 feet of the American Islamic Congress.

"Just imagine if such an agenda were to permeate the Daily Caller," writes Bump.

Indeed.
