Chinese paper references Onion article calling Kim Jong Un "Sexiest Man Alive"
The People's Daily has printed a 55-page slide show honoring the North Korean leader for being so sexy

Sometimes, satire becomes reality. The People's Daily, a state-run newspaper in China, has referenced a satirical Onion article that named the North Korean dictator 2012's "Sexiest Man." The article boasts a 55-page slideshow displaying Kim Jong Un's sexiness, putting the Onion's upcoming "16-page spread on Kim" to shame. The paper quotes the Onion article, which describes the dictator's "unmistakable cute, cuddly side."
An update to the Onion story now links to the People's Daily, calling it "a proud Communist subsidiary of The Onion, Inc. Exemplary reportage, comrades." Kim Jong Un shares this dubious honor with the likes of Bashar al-Assad, Bernie Madoff and the Koch brothers, who have won the Onion's "Sexiest Man" award in previous years.
This is the second time in the past two months that a major news outlet has referenced the Onion as a legitimate news source.
