After receiving more than 15,000 applications from opponents who want to fight George Zimmerman, the man who was acquitted for the murder of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, TMZ reports that rapper DMX has won the "honor."

There are many reasons to want to fight Zimmerman, who has a long history of aggravated assault, and indeed, when the boxing match was first announced, Celebrity Boxing owner Damon Feldman told CNN that "the news has been out for an hour and my email is overloaded with 8,000 people wanting to fight George."

Zimmerman has said that boxing is a hobby, long before the "incident" (his euphemism for Martin's death and the subsequent trial), and that a mutual friend put him in touch with Feldman to get the "motivation to get back in shape and continue with my weight loss goals and also be able to help a charity out."

DMX, for his part, plans to "beat the living fuck out" of Zimmerman. "I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I fuck him right up," he told TMZ, adding that he will also urinate on Zimmerman's face.

The fight will last three rounds, and will be available on pay-per-view.

As the Daily Dot points out, there's already a WhiteHouse.gov petition to stop this train wreck of a fight, titled “Stop George Zimmerman and Promoter Damon Feldman for using murder & racial hate in America for Profit."
