Perhaps because they are often its targets, celebrities love nothing more than weighing in on the sorry state of contemporary media. Think of Aaron Sorkin’s Times op-ed slamming the media’s involvement in the Sony leaks (and, you know, every episode of "The Newsroom"), or Kanye West’s scathing mid-concert rants.

The latest star to burnish her credentials as a media watchdog is Iggy Azalea, who today came out with long and impassioned Twitter rant bemoaning the industry's shift from print to online, the hazards of clickbait and the erosion of Forbes and Time magazine's storied brand identities. Basically, Azalea: Fan of Norman Pearlstine-era Time, not a fan of Upworthy headlines. Noted!
