Sarah Palin's baseless implication that President Obama is somehow responsible for her son, Track's, recent arrest over a domestic violence incident and her description of his violent assault as a "ramification[] of PTSD" is getting major push-back not only from the White House but by several military veterans and veteran advocacy groups.
The progressive group Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) released a statement criticizing Palin's haphazard deployment of blame to dismiss her son's serious charges. "PTSD is a serious subject which should not be politicized or used as a political talking point. It’s certainly not President Obama’s fault–nor President’s Bush’s fault–that Sarah Palin’s son has PTSD," IAVA head Paul Rieckhoff wrote on Thursday.
Other veterans took to Twitter to express their dismay and displeasure with Palin's casual PTSD reference.

“The sacrifices that many of our men and women in uniform make for our safety and security are not a joke,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said on Thursday in response to Palin's allegation.
