Trump's an "equal opportunity offender": Raheel Raza slams the Donald for hate-mongering against Muslims on Bill Maher

This is supposed to be "the civilized world, but he is really fudging that line about civility," Raza says

"Real Time" host Bill Maher last night welcomed Raheel Raza, journalist, author, and President of the Council for Muslims Facing Tomorrow, for a sit-down interview in which the two talked Donald Trump's Muslim ban.

"There are two things I want to say about Donald Trump," Raza began. "One, that he's an equal opportunity offender. And, secondly, this is supposed to be the First World, the civilized world, but he is really fudging that line about civility."

"I still have to cover my ears in some of that conversation," Raza continued, referring to Trump's oft-vulgar stream of insults. "I'm still pretty old fashioned that way, but, you know, come on, this is presidential election."

"What we have to do is look at the deeper picture," Raza explained. "We have to look and see -- perhaps Muslim-Americans need to sit together and discuss -- what is it that brought this around? Is it something that has been festering a long time? Is there a problem within the House of Islam? And that is a question that many Muslims don't want to address."
