Johnny Depp didn't hold back his reservations about the GOP front-runner when asked about Donald Trump's bid for the White House, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Here's the thing — if Donald Trump is elected president of the United States, in a kind of historical way it's exciting because we will see the actual last president of the United States," Depp said. "It just won't work after that." Depp was speaking Wednesday night on the red carpet while promoting his latest film, "Alice Through the Looking Glass."

When asked to confirm that he would not be "thrilled" if Trump won in November, Depp replied, “I don’t believe in that stuff, you know?”

The actor previously portrayed the billionaire in an hourlong fake show for the comedy website "Funny or Die" in December. The clip was a mockery of Trump's best-seller "The Art of the Deal" with Depp delivering a startlingly nuanced imitation of Trump.

When asked about Depp portraying him, Trump said, "There's a difference, physically, I can say … but I think he's a great actor."
