Two-time Emmy Award winner and acclaimed director Rob Reiner says we need journalism now more than ever before. On "Salon Talks" while discussing his new film "Shock and Awe," Reiner spoke out about Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy's retirement. "If we give this possibly illegitimate president who is under investigation for colluding with a foreign enemy power to take this country, if we give him another seat on the Supreme Court it could change the way America is for the next 30, 40, 50 years. It's very scary."
Watch the video above to hear Reiner's message for the press. "Shock and Awe," out July 13 and starring Woody Harrelson and James Marsden, tells the story of the Knight Ridder reporters who were the first ones to dig deep into the lack of evidence of weapons of mass destruction before the Iraq War in 2003.
