Writer and director Nicole Holofcener, known for her unique filmmaking style and ability to portray flawed characters so well on the big screen, joined "Salon Talks" to discuss her Netflix movie "The Land of Steady Habits," starring Ben Mendelsohn and Edie Falco. The film explores loneliness and loss in suburbia and is streaming now.

Watch the interview above to hear more from Holofcener on why all of her films focus on exploring adulthood, even though she's still not over her teenage years.
