Fox News is angry -- and rightly so -- that an intelligence failure led to a terrorist attack that killed four Americans stationed in Benghazi in 2012. But Fox News is also angry that you're not as angry as they are. And they think it's because you don't know the facts.
"Okay, I think I see the problem," Jon Stewart said on Monday night's "Daily Show." "You think peoples' failure to match your level of outrage is based on ignorance." Although there were "nearly a hundred network news stories, hundreds of cable news stories about Benghazi, 13 congressional hearings, 50 further congressional briefings and 25,000 pages of findings" on the tragic attack, Fox News is outraged that no one else is yelling about Benghazi as loudly as the network.
The self-righteous anger is especially rich, notes Stewart, considering Fox seemed to have no problem with George W. Bush's lack of intelligence when invading Iraq. "I commend you for finally getting in touch with your outrage," Stewart said to Fox News. "Because for the previous decade, it was an emotion that you did not seem comfortable addressing."
