Booze! Sex! Fire! Fisticuffs! What could be more thrilling than Wednesday night's fourth season finale of Rescue Me" (10 p.m. EDT on FX)? Will the boys figure out that Tommy's been playing hero-ghost on the sneak? Will Tommy be able to stay away from the bottle for a second longer? And are we really supposed to believe that any fireman, even one as self-destructive as Tommy, would risk life and limb for a quickie while the flames licked ever closer? But believability has always been beside the point on this tragicomic merry-go-round, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

And at 9 p.m. EDT, PBS airs "American Masters: Tony Bennett: The Music Never Ends," which surveys the life and career of the man Frank Sinatra called "the best singer in the business."
