Tuesday: Post-nuclear suspense tear-jerker "Jericho" returns. Go nuts, loyal fans. Plus: What did you think of "Transamerican Love Story" on Monday?

Post-nuclear suspense tear-jerker “Jericho” is back tonight (10 p.m. EST on CBS), thanks to a groundswell of support from loyal fans, who sent 40,000 pounds of peanuts to CBS to demonstrate how passionate (and nuts?) they were for the show. While Jake (Skeet Ulrich) and the townspeople are still reeling in the wake of their standoff with neighboring town New Bern, Robert (Lennie James) searches for clues about the “September attacks” with his wife and an old CIA buddy. Alternating between gruff, macho talk and sentimentality like only a red-blooded American can, “Jericho,” aka “Touched by a Nuclear Disaster,” is the sort of cheesy, melodramatic catastrophe porn that’s custom-made for the citizens of our great nation.
