Talk about combat readiness--check out the video of 19-year-old Army specialist Zachary Boyd of Fort Worth, TX, who woke to an attack on his platoon stationed in Afghanistan's Kunar Province, grabbed his weapon and headed into the fight in his boxers and flip-flops.
"Any soldier who goes into battle against the Taliban in pink boxers and flip-flops has a special kind of courage," said Defense Secretary Robert Gates.
Boyd's boxers say "I love NY" and he worried that if President Obama saw him fighting in such a get up he might lose his job. "I can assure you that Specialist Boyd's job is very safe indeed," said Gates.
