  • Neiman
According to a recent Neiman Marcus press release, "this year’s edition of the [company's] Christmas Book carries on the Neiman Marcus tradition of presenting a refined selection of items across a broad range of categories for everyone on your holiday shopping list." Including the deluded millionaire. Why not splurge on a million-dollar fountain -- $10,000 of the price goes to charity, after all -- or just make do with a $75,000 luxury yurt (pictured)? (Watch a video with highlights from this year's catalog here.)
  • Beyoncé

    AP

Hip-hop superstars Beyoncé and Jay-Z have reportedly been shelling out some serious cash in preparation for the arrival of their new baby. MediaTakeOut says the couple's new Mercedes, worth more than a million dollars, has "a full bathroom" and "$150K audio system."
  • Gold
American streets may once have been paved with gold, but the sheen seems to have worn off a little these past few years. Make up for it with one of 10 sets of $19,000, real-gold shoelaces. Their designer told the Daily Mail Online that they're for "people who have a love of the 'practical made special.'" But really, they're just ridiculous.
  • Robb

    Honda

"The world of MotoGP racing is a richly funded, high-stakes microcosm where the best of the best do battle on million-dollar machines," writes Basem Wasef at the Robb Report. "But the Grand Prix world stage isn’t entirely inaccessible." No! Indeed, at $28,599, Honda's NSF250R model is a "refreshingly democratic way to hit the track." Provided you've got $30K set aside for a rainy day.
  • False
What's the perfect complement to rose-colored glasses? False eyelashes decorated with gold and diamonds, of course. They're a bargain at only $1,350.
  • Ripped
Talk about recession chic -- these threadbare jeans cost over $1,500 on Net-a-porter. (Free shipping to U.S. addresses.)
  • New

    New York Times screen shot

A mother who drops her child off at school in a Prada coat and boots is "not exactly the norm," the writer of a recent New York Times Styles piece conceded. But this sort of thing is "becoming ... far more common despite the faltering economy." In New York's West Village and on the Upper East Side, perhaps.
  • Victoria's

    Reuters

What's "the ultimate fantasy gift this season"? This $2.5 million bra from Victoria's Secret. It took 500 hours to make -- and would take a worker making minimum wage almost 700 times as long to afford (provided he or she had no expenses in the meantime).
  • Toilet
"Kohler's most advanced toilet," the Numi, costs $6,390, and according to Kohler, it "marks a new standard of excellence in the bathroom." A recent New York Times review notes: "Features that initially seem unnecessary can become something you cannot do without, even in a bathroom."
