The site doesn't even exist anymore, but people are still talking about the Tumblr "Sex Questions From Seventh Graders." An anonymous middle school teacher started the blog to post photographs of the sweet and sometimes hilarious sex queries that her class jotted down on index cards (for example, "Can your eggs brake?").

No sooner did the site go viral than it was promptly taken down (maybe the teacher had second thoughts about students' most private questions becoming an Internet meme). But the photos exist forevermore on the Interwebs, and folks are eating them up -- because, how cute, how naive these kids are!

Never mind that many adults would actually have trouble answering these questions, either out of ignorance or embarrassment. That's why I decided to give it a shot, with help from Debby Herbenick, a sex researcher and educator at the Kinsey Institute. Consider this slideshow a helpful guide to educating your kid (or, you know, yourself) about the birds and the bees.
