The best part about attending the Golden Globe Awards, according to co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, are the drinks. One of the most entertaining parts of the show for those of us not invited to the party, though, is judging the outfits seen on the red carpet. Check out what this year’s top celebrities are wearing to the 70th Annual Golden Globes:

- Amy Adams wearing Marchesa and showing off Tiffany diamonds. (Photo by John Shearer/Invision/AP)
- Jessica Chastain wearing Calvin Klein. Although some might describe the look as elegant, the Atlantic Wire's Richard Lawson says it "looks like chewing gum." (Photo by John Shearer/Invision/AP)
- Michelle Dockery wearing Alexandre Vauthier. BuzzFeed fellow Matt Bellassai pretty much summed it up when he said, "Just give Michelle Dockery every Golden Globe for this dress and we can call it a night." (Photo by Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP)
- Claire Danes wearing Versace. CNN host Piers Morgan, for one, is a fan, saying: "My early #GoldenGlobes vote: 1) BEST DRESS - Claire Danes 2) FASTEST POST-BABY BODY RECOVERY - Claire Danes 3) BEST ACTRESS - Claire Danes." (Photo by Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP)
- Katharine McPhee wearing Theyskens Theory. HuffPo gets it right when they note that her name "is now synonymous for 'sideboob' " (Photo by John Shearer/Invision/AP)
- Jennifer Lawrence wearing Dior Haute Couture. Although most interviewers liked the long gown, Comedian Todd Barry thinks she's dressed "like she's about to give a flu shot." (Photo by Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP)
- Julianne Hough wearing Monique Lhuillier. People magazine notes that she coupled the elegant gown with edgy "beetle and stick bug-themed jewels." (Photo by Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP)
- Co-hosts Tina Fey (wearing L’Wren Scott) and Amy Poehler (wearing a Stella McCartney suit). Although it's a far cry from their golden dresses in the Golden Globes, Poehler's suit made a splash. And Twitter seems to agree, with people describing Poehler's unconventional outfit as "very chic" and "stunning." (Photo by Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP)
- Lena Dunham wearing Zac Posen on the red carpet (a big change from her usual dressed-down look), the same night that Season 2 of her show, "Girls," premieres on HBO. Like the New Yorker's Ben Greenman tweets: "Wait: Lena Dunham is on two channels at once. How is that possible?" (Photo by Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP)
- Taylor Swift wearing DKNY. The New York Times' Brian Stetler notes via Twitter that the musician committed a faux pas by not crediting the designer when talking to Ryan Seacrest. DKNY was not pleased, tweeting: "OMG seriously?! HATE!!!" (Photo by John Shearer/Invision/AP)
- Anne Hathaway wearing a Chanel two-piece. And why is Hathaway wearing a two-piece? One theory is that the actress might be pregnant. (Photo by John Shearer/Invision/AP)
- Nicole Kidman (wearing Alexander McQueen) with husband Keith Urban. Kidman told reporters that her role as Grace Kelly in her upcoming film "Grace of Monaco" renewed an interest in fashion. (Photo by John Shearer/Invision/AP)
- Lucy Liu wearing Carolina Herrera, aka the new home of comedian Judah Friedlander, who is hiding under it. (Photo by John Shearer/Invision/AP)
- Jodie Foster wearing Armani. Foster accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award and delivered a bizarre speech in which alluded to retirement. Hollywood.com writer Brian Moylan "calls it, saying, "Guys, we need to talk about Jodie Foster for like a while." (Photo by John Shearer/Invision/AP)
- The best fashion moment of the night, though, was when Tina Fey dressed up (presumably) as Johnny Depp during the awards presentation.
