Delivering what must be a discouraging blow to Benghazi conspiracy theorists everywhere, leading right-wing pundit Charles Krauthammer announced on Fox News on Wednesday night that it was time for Republicans to move on.

Speaking of Wednesday's little-noticed hearings in the Senate on Benghazi, Krauthammer lamented, "Politically speaking, the administration has won. They ran out the clock."

Krauthammer argued that Republicans should've organized hearings on Benghazi sooner than they did and with greater focus. He called the hearings that have occurred "disjointed" and "let all things sort of slip away."

"As a political fact," he continued, "this thing is done. And I think right now the best things for Republicans to do is to look at the broader foreign policy from this administration ... it is a disaster from one part of the globe to another ... and that's where you want to hit the administration, not only for political, partisan reasons, but for the good of the country."

"The clock has run out on Benghazi," he added.
