You can date this Don Juan of the New York City subway while you wait for your train

"It's simply a way to connect with people," said Knox

If you had an extra five minutes in your day, how would you spend it? Some New Yorkers have opted to use the time they spend waiting for the train, on a date.

Thomas Knox, a New Yorker who works in the tech industry, sought a way to slow down and make the most of his fast paced life. He came up with the idea to set up tables in various New York subway stations a few days a week, for people to simply talk or play a game while waiting. Knox calls his pop-up table 'Date While You Wait.'

Knox isn't seeking money or- despite the name- a romantic connection. "I wanted to give people the opportunity to play a fun game or do something cool while they wait for the train rather than being on their phone," he said. "New Yorkers are tough and we're a very fast paced city so slowing interactions down and kinda taking a second to reflect is not something that we do very often."
