Broad City creates its own kind of unabashed feminist. On the Comedy Central show Ilana Glazer is up front and unashamed of her sexuality, Abby Jacobson dances naked in her apartment when she has the place to herself and they both have no qualms about making the first move when they see something they want or cleaning an apartment half naked for some extra cash.

The two Upright Citizens Brigade comedians display an under-the-radar, everyday feminism that "reflecting how normal people actually behave," an article at Mic noted.

The name of the show itself is a testament to a feminism that is not in your face but definitely celebrates strong women.

"The word broad is like this full woman where she's like knows their stuff, knows who they are, knows what they want and their limits, and is doing the best that they can," Glazer said in an interview.
