Samantha Bee: Why Roger Ailes' ties to the Trump campaign should "scare the hell out of you"

Since the former Fox News CEO is "no longer ruining your dad for a living," he's helping prep Trump for the debates

"Full Frontal" host Samantha Bee on Monday examined former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes' highly unsurprising ties to the Trump campaign. Ailes — who previously served as advisor to presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George H.W. Bush — is believed to be helping the Republican nominee prepare for his first debate against Democratic rival Hillary Clinton next week.

"Now that Fox News' chief executive in charge of whippin' it out is no longer ruining your dad for a living, he can devote all his time to prepping Trump for the debate," Bee said. "And if that doesn't scare the hell out of you, it should."

"Roger Ailes has been polishing turds into presidents since ['sock it to me'] was a cool thing to say," she continued. "If Ailes could work his Machiavellian magic to elect a racist sweat monster, a guy born in 1911, and Jeb Bush's dad, don't think he can't do the same for a bigoted see-and-say whose most extensive debate prep to date has been measuring his own dick."
