The fabulously tacky Fox network has come up with the most fabulously tacky reality TV show of them all: "Temptation Island."
Four couples -- each with some strains in their relationship -- are sent to a Caribbean island. There they are separated by gender and left for two weeks in the titillating company of a full dozen members of the opposite sex, the gals babealiciously comely, the boys hunkariffically handsome.
Will the couples remain true to each other? Or will island instincts take over and boffing be the order of the day? (And night!)
Salon's coverage of CBS's reality endeavors -- the irritatingly addictive "Survivor" and the just-plain irritating "Big Brother" -- was hugely popular. In that tradition, we'll follow the antics of the "Temptation Island" gang as they fatten the Fox bottom line each Wednesday night.
