Note to Britain's Daily Mail: It's time to expand your arsenal of stock photos of pregnant women.

A few months ago, Broadsheet readers will recall that we dinged the newspaper for using a photo of a normal-weight expectant mother on its Web site to illustrate a story about obesity and pregnancy. The image soon disappeared from the obesity story.

Now, the paper's using the same photo to illustrate another pregnancy story. This time it's about a study that suggests that older mothers may give birth to daughters who are more likely to struggle to conceive when they try to have their own kids. In the accompanying image, the one-size-fits-all-pregnancy-stories lady, who incidentally doesn't look a day over 25, gazes down somberly, as if she's absorbing the bad news above the caption: "Pregnant pause: Women who delay motherhood after 30 risk bequeathing infertility to their daughters."

Color us pensive.
