Your quick picker-upper for the day: Babble.com’s list of the “Top 15 Most Sexist Daytime Commercials” -- from yesteryear and today -- many of which, writer Cole Gamble notes, seem to follow a script we can paraphrase thus:

"Dad: What is that?

Son: Some kind of liquid.

Dad: Normally I'd know what to do in these situations, but whenever I walk into the kitchen I become a total moron. Just like all dads do in cute thirty-second increments."

(That, or this: "If you fly National, you get to bang Maggie.")
