As Think Progress reports, Bill O'Reilly set up a videotape of an interview with George W. Bush last night by explaining that you can't be "confrontational" when you sit down to talk with the president of the United States. "This is my third interview with the president," O'Reilly said. "He does get a fair shake here but he also gets tough questions, as everybody does."
Tough questions? Like the one O'Reilly posed about polls showing diminishing support for the war in Iraq? O'Reilly asked Bush if Americans have turned against the war because "the anti-Bush press pounds day in and day out in newspapers, on the network news, in books like Bob Woodward's, that you don't know what you're doing there, you have no strategy, you don't listen to dissent, you've got this thing in your mind and you're stubborn and you just can't win it."
Bush's response: "Well, I'm disappointed that people would propagandize to that effect because the stakes are too high for that kind of illogical behavior."
