A recount in Virginia?
Will we know the name of the winner in the Virginia Senate race tonight? That seems increasingly unclear. With almost 96 percent of the precincts counted, George Allen leads Jim Webb by just .62 percent -- which is to say, by about 14,000 of the more than 2 million votes counted so far. Under Virginia law, it appears that candidates are entitled to request a recount whenever the votes separating the winner and the loser represent less than one percent of those cast.
